Basic functions
The important part of the digital camera is divided into different components:
CCD (Charge Coupled Device), used in photography Aspects of high-end technical components.
CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) is used in products with lower image quality.
CCD and CMOS
The size of the CCD element is mostly 1/3 inch or 1/4 inch. At the same resolution, the size of the element is better.
The advantages of CCD are high sensitivity, low noise, and large signal-to-noise ratio, but the production process is complex, high cost, and high power consumption.
CMOS has high integration, low power consumption (less than 1/3 of CCD), low cost, but relatively large noise, low sensitivity, and high light source requirements. Under the same pixel, the permeability and sharpness of CCD imaging are very good, the color reproduction and exposure are accurate, but the CMOS is poor
