Disc capacity
The disc capacity refers to the maximum data storage capacity of the disc that can be used by the mo magneto-optical disk drive. Different mo magneto-optical disc drives have different disc capacities. The 3.5-inch mo magneto-optical disc drive has 230mb, 640mb and 1.3gb disc capacities, while the 5.25-inch mo magneto-optical disc drive has the disc capacity. There are six kinds of 230mb, 640mb, 1.3gb, 2.6gb, 5.2gb and 9.1gb. Mo can be backward compatible with various discs, such as 9.1gb mo can use all capacity mo discs.
Rotation speed
Rotation speed refers to the maximum number of revolutions that the disc in the mo magneto-optical disk drive can complete in one minute, and the unit is rpm (revolutions per minute). Rotational speed is one of the determinants of data transmission rate of mo magneto-optical disk drives. The faster the rotation speed, the larger the disk area that the magnetic head can scan in a unit time, which improves the seek time and data transmission rate. Therefore, the rotational speed largely determines the performance of the mo magneto-optical disk drive. The rotational speeds of mainstream mo magneto-optical disk drives have reached around 3600rpm and 4500rpm, and some even reached around 5400rpm, which are already close to the speed of low-speed hard drives.
Time between failures
Mean time between failures (mtbf) refers to how long the mo magneto-optical disk drive can operate normally before a failure occurs. This is an important parameter to measure the reliability of the mo magneto-optical disk drive. The longer the mean time between failures, the higher the reliability of the mo magneto-optical disk drive. The mean time between failures (mtbf) of mainstream products has reached more than 100,000 hours.
